A DEDICATED CATTERY
Paws Lodge Cattery was established approximately 25 years ago. Its objective then as it is now is to be a gold standard Boarding Cattery providing the best possible standards of care, cleanliness and customer service.
The Cattery proprietor Cheryl is herself a dedicated cat lover who has many years experience in Cattery Management. Indeed Cheryl has 3 cats herself who you may encounter when they fulfil their meet and greet responsibilities !
Team Work
Running a busy Cattery 7 days a week entails a lot of rewarding but hard work and Cheryl is assisted by a loyal and committed team in Sarah and Roger.
Idyllic Surroundings
The Cattery is superbly located on Lincoln Road in North Hykeham close to the border with Lincoln City. Set in beautiful large gardens, the purposefully designed units are arranged to maximise our guests contentment.
The insulated and heated units have a raised sleeping area and an opening window for when the weather is warm. We do provide clean bedding but as an alternative many owners bring their own to assist their cat settling into their new surroundings.
Outside there is a large run with stools and a shelf where your cat can snooze, watch the activities of other guests playing or indeed as we all like to do occasionally, just relax and watch the world go by !
We are able to adjust the height of beds and shelves to accommodate elderly guests or cats with mobility issues.
Rest assured we only board cats (no dogs) as we are aware that cats can be distressed by barking dogs if they are not used to them.
Dedicated Care
We have an excellent working relationship with our local vets ‘Park View Veterinary Hospital’ which offers 24 hour facilities if required.
On those rare occasions when a guest does require medical treatment we normally try to use your local vet where possible provided it’s in the local area.
We are aware that many of our customers have busy working lives and preparing for a holiday can be stressful enough without having to find time during work days to drop off pets.
We have designed our service around you and are proud of our opening hours which are normally 7 days per week. A facility we know many customers are grateful for.

We are delighted to say that the vast majority of our customers are regular visitors and since opening we have had much pleasure in getting to know both owners and guests very well.
If, however, you are anticipating using us for the first time we would be delighted to show you around and answer any queries you may have, please don’t hesitate to give us a call to make an appointment.
To avoid disappointment early booking is advised.
What Our Customers Have to Say
Terms & Fees
A full day’s board is charged for the day of arrival and for the day of departure, as the unit is only available for your cat on those days. This is to allow time for disinfection and preparation of units between boarders.
Our Terms
- All cats must hold an up to date vaccination certificate against feline enteritis and influenza (cat flu) which must be shown on arrival.
- All male cats must be neutered.
Should your cat become ill during it’s stay any veterinary expenses incurred are the responsibility of the owner.
We do not make any charge for conveying cats to the vets and will always try and contact the owner prior to treatment unless discussed during booking in.
We regularly have long term boarders so please contact us to discuss boarding in excess of 30 days.
If you require to board more than two cats please contact us to discuss the various options.
We supply clean fresh bedding but are quite happy to allow owners to supply their own to assist their pet settling in.
